You must be at least 18 years of age to come on a Hot Tub Boat tour. Children must be at least 10 years old to come on a tour accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Booking in advance is required. Same day reservations are available and can be made online up to five hours before departure. We recommend you book early to maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer. To secure your reservation, tickets must be purchased with a credit or debit card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or JCB.

Yes. There is a large bathroom and a separate changing room on the boat.

Yes. We provide storage on the boat. This is a free and secure space for your belongings. You do not need to provide your own lock.

Yes. However, we will not operate in unsafe weather conditions or in circumstances where it is uncomfortable for our guests.

Of course the answer is, anytime! However, here is our best attempt to describe how to choose the time of day that is best for you:
- Daytime – This is the height of the “action!” Start your day early and enjoy taking in all of the sights and activities of the day while you are relaxing in your hot tub.
- Sunset – Anytime is beautiful, but sunset takes the cake! Boat traffic diminishes and the sun starts setting… breathtaking!
- Night – Seeing the monuments and skyline all lit up is simply amazing!

We provide ice, coolers, cups, and water at no additional charge. You can bring towels or rent from us. Each tub has a dedicated sound system which you are welcome to connect to via Bluetooth.

We have two hot tubs, each seating 10 people comfortably. If you book a Single Private Hot Tub Boat tour, you will have your own tub with a 10-person max. When booking a Full Private Hot Tub Boat tour (both tubs), there is a 20-passenger maximum.

Bathing suits are the way to go, but feel free to dress as you are most comfortable.

Yes. It is required that all individuals participating in the tour sign a waiver. A waiver will be sent prior to your tour.

Yes, cell phones and Go Pros are permitted.

Many of our guests have asked for guidance on gratuities. Tipping is always optional, but our experience is that most guests tip between 15% and 20%. If you would like to tip, you can do so in cash, via Venmo or by requesting your tip be added to your card on file. One hundred percent of the gratuity goes to your crew, regardless of the method of payment you use.

The tour experience for our Washington, D.C. excursion is 2 hours in length. Guests must arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure for check-in.

Absolutely! The hot tubs are professionally maintained, commercial grade, chlorinated spas exactly like those you would find in a hotel or similar venue. Chemical levels are continually monitored throughout the day. We sanitize the Hot Tubs with a specialized treatment after every tour and drain the tubs every week which well exceeds industry standards.

Passengers (21+) are permitted to consume alcohol (beer, wine, champagne or hard seltzers only) on board.

No, to keep our boat clean and our water systems free from any debris, food is not permitted on board.

Yes. Sea the City does offer Gift Certificates and they make a great gift for friends and family.

Congrats! Soaking in a hot tub is typically not recommended for women who are pregnant; however, you can safely and comfortably sit on the edge of the tub with your feet in the water. We always encourage you to check with your healthcare provider.

We are happy to change your booking date at no additional charge up to 48 hours’ notice prior to your tour time.

The boat is operated by a United States Coast Guard Master Captain, assisted by deckhands.
